They say hindsight is 20/20. This is true in so many ways including looking back over the year that a pandemic shut down the world. Life as people knew it was forever changed and people were forced to look at life through a different lens. They called health care workers, suppliers, pastors and many more essential. Everyone’s mission changed except one: The Shepherd. Pastors still had to serve and save souls that they could not see, open hearts and minds without looking into their eyes, preach, teach, and pray through a camera lens, create new ways to praise and fellowship while leading the church from a distance.
This book is an excellent resource for both pastors and parishioners as Dr. Jesse Thomas walks us through the process of “Shepherding from a Distance”. Dr. Thomas takes us back to the beginning of the pandemic and leads us through the creative process, over the trials and tribulations, around the relationships and responsibilities to a new commitment to Christ which gives us hope and leads us to victory.
Although, it remains a great mystery if the church will ever return back to the way we were once accustomed to, I believe this book provides us with the proper tools to be successful in leading from a distance.

Jesse E. Thomas serves as the Senior Pastor of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Boston, VA. Dr. Jesse Thomas is the founder and servant leader of Impact United Fellowship. Dr. Thomas is also the author of “No More Distractions” and “Release Your Past”.
Dr. Thomas has a yearning for knowledge which has enabled him to earn a Diploma of Ministry, an Associate of Ministry, and a Bachelor of Christian Ministry from the Chesapeake Bible College & Seminary. In addition, Dr. Thomas is an Alumnus of the Chesapeake Bible College & Seminary Alumni Association. Dr. Thomas received his Master of Divinity Degree and earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Virginia University of Lynchburg.
