The book takes readers through five stages of his spiritual journey, showing the developments which occurred at each stage and how the Lord was drawing him closer even through times when he had strayed away and times when the family lost everything materially.
Inspired to share his story due to the relevance it delivers to his first manuscript Repentance, Sine Qua, Non, Herb challenges readers to consider the troubled direction that America is currently heading spiritually and what needs to be done to change it. His journey is one that will inspire readers and encourage them to reflect on their own faith journey, where they are headed and where they stand.

Charles “Herb” Burton is retired on a small farm in North Alabama with his wife and best friend of 55 years Joyce. Their life has been through many mountains and valleys, but far from dull. They have four sons, daughters-in-law, 14 grandchildren and their first great grandchild on the way. The path presented in the book title is very real and critical to them realizing such a full life. His prayer as you read is that you will realize you too can have a life of purpose filled with the reward of being where and doing what glorifies Jesus Christ.
