How Can I Escape is a powerful account of a woman who lived apart from God. She lived a life that would be the envy of many: A promising and upcoming piano prodigy and winner of Ms. Illinois through the Shriners (and being prepped for the Miss America Pageant). She was intelligent, beautiful, and determined. Yet there was an emptiness and depression inside of her that she did not know how to handle. It was that emptiness and depression that almost destroyed her. Her battles and struggles ranged from abortion to rape, cancer, and a heart attack. She was homeless, mentally abused in a broken marriage, and ostracized by the church. Yet through it all, she built a loving relationship with God amidst the turmoil around her. I wrote How Can I Escape to give hope to souls who believe their lives are chaotic.

Minister/Evangelist Constance D. Dixon was born in Peoria, Illinois. She is a wife, mother of five (four girls and one boy), and grandmother of two girls. Evangelist Constance D. Dixon is the daughter of Alvertus and Nancy Jenkins. As a young child, God blessed her with the gift of music, and she became a child prodigy by playing the classical piano and competing throughout the United States. Evangelist Constance Dixon has a dual bachelor’s degree in Music Performance: Applied Piano and Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources. She also has a double Masters’ degree in Public Administration from APUS and an Executive Leadership from Liberty University. She is also an effective administrator in Human Resources and Education by implementing programs that have enhanced the livelihoods of all she has come across locally and regionally. Her motto is: “What you see is what God has wonderfully and fearfully made.”
