Newton has 30 years of experience in education as a Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director. Newton is a Director in the local school district. She has received numerous awards and recognitions; including Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Distinguished Educator Employee of the Month, and recognition for contributions to the African-American Community. Newton is a member of Phi Gama Sigma, the International Professional Society. She is a Youth Mentor, Inspiring Poet, Author, Motivational Speaker, and Life Coach.
