Alaska! The Great Land is great indeed—from Ketchikan to Kotzebue— from the Aleutians to Prudhoe Bay, you'll find a thousand and more nooks and crannies where few if any ever go and where you'll often see illustrated the awesome handiwork of God. Beautiful, heart-filling (and unforgiving of the careless), it's a wonderful place to have lived and worked with its wonderful people.
The recapture of a few of life's experiences should do more than entertain. Valuable spiritual lessons beg to be learned and are sometimes learned best by experience. There is theoretical truth caught by the discipline of study—which is good. But when truth can be enforced through practical experience, so much the better. Here are simple events recorded in the hope that the reader might be entertained, but more—encouraged to trust Him who is always there for those who will follow Him.
Paul Weimer spent his early years in Roulette, PA, where he trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord at nine years of age. Early on he sensed the call to serve Him through life. Weimer graduated from high school at 17 and entered Baptist Bible College, now located at Clark Summit, PA. There he met Esther, whom he married, and have been blessed with four wonderful children. For many years they have worked in various towns and villages in Alaska and British Columbia, establishing churches, radio broadcasting, youth camps, Bible teaching, and evangelism. And he ain't dead yet.
