The sovereign Lord of the universe reigns over individuals and nations, conveying His story long before our limited imaginations can grasp it. Sometimes, His message takes the form of a parable; other times, it appears as a riddle, a dream, a vision, or a shadowy ritual—and for a chosen few, it comes as a direct revelation. Beginning with the foundation of sacred texts, the next clearest view of what lies ahead emerges from the reservoir of past events. This ongoing historical perspective reveals prophetic fulfillments that started in ancient times, progressed through history to the present, and point to future realities. Long-hidden mysteries unfold as end-time events pull back the curtain, revealing divine design in patterns of time.
From this perspective, Donald Hawkins seeks to understand the divine blueprint of time. This fourth volume of the Prophecy Papers is a collection of Donald's essays and original insights presented in a poetic form. He warns of the dangers of misleading prophecies, documenting how mistaken understanding of prophecy contributed to the Messiah's death. He explores the sources of "pop prophecies" and examines ancient texts in search of their origins. Furthermore, he envisions the future, offering hope to believers through "greater expectations" and the restoration of His glory. Referring to the saying about a glass being half-full or half-empty, Donald steers clear of both extremes: blind pessimism on one side and unrealistic optimism on the other. He argues that biblical realism recognizes both the negative and positive aspects simultaneously.
