If you're a man stunned by the loss of your beloved bride, or if you are watching your gravely ill wife's life slip away, this book knows your pain. A Widower's Journey Through Grief enters the depth of a man's anguish in losing his soul mate, lover, and partner.
While men and women have similar experiences common to trauma and loss, in many areas of life men respond differently than women. This book offers empathy and respect for the unique masculine way men work through their grief and find healing.
With honesty and vulnerability, Dave Witmer weaves his personal story of loss with the perspectives of others to embrace the emotional, relational, and spiritual questions and struggles men face with the death of a loved wife. What good was prayer? Where was God's healing?
The candid reflections offer comfort and hope in the heartbreak of loss, in finding healing and new relationships, and through it all, trusting in God's mystery. Reading this book lets you know you are not alone.
