LONGWOOD, FL-What lessons may be learned by following one man's journey as he explores the "breadth and length and height and depth" of God's love? What does it mean to be a partner with God? Written by a retired missionary in the form of a daily devotional, Partners in God's Love (paperback, 978-1-60266-217-9) combines a lifetime of personal experiences with biblical principles. It covers topics such as patriotic love, brotherly love, and self love, to name but a few. These are illustrated with quotations from literature or Scripture and by recounting personal vignettes or the experiences of others.

John L. Davey, the book's original author, was a missionary for nearly 50 years. It was during these intensely spiritual years that he came into contact with God's love in many ways. Suitable as a resource for pastors or laypersons seeking to learn more about God's love, the book offers considerable proof of the power of love by any name.

Though John L. Davey is now deceased, his son, John T. Davey, resumed where his father left off and saw to it that Partners in God's Love made it to print. Says Davey, "My late father's missionary career allowed him to write from a lifetime of personal experiences. He put personal examples to the biblical principles. A lifetime of his personal experiences bears the truth that 'we love Him because He first loved us,' thus making us partners with Him."

John L. Davey was born in 1916 in Rochester, Kent County, England. His career began in 1940 on the island of Dominica, West Indies, with the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade. He opened a Christian bookstore there with the Christian Literature Crusade. He retired in 1978 in Edmonton, Alberta, and died in 1984.
