LONGWOOD, FL-In her book Voices Crying in the Wilderness: A Call to Prophesy (paperback, 978-160477-415-3; hardcover, 978-160477-416-0) author Alison Teed urges readers to have the faith to believe God "needs His people and is calling us to clean up, get up and get moving."

Through the writing of this book, Teed says, the Holy Spirit has revealed that "many saints around the world have not answered their call to serve." Because of "fears, lack of knowledge, uncertainty of their calling or oppression, they have held back." She believes God is calling all His laborers to "come forth and be doing what He has predestined them to do-without fear." She further states it is "a call to the yet unfruitful prophets who have shrunk back and are in hiding."

According to the author, God has used her testimony to draw out from hiding people who are filled with fear and lack knowledge in their calling. She has also been able to encourage others to be strong in "uprightness, courage, tenacity and faithfulness" to answer God's call on their lives. She prays that laborers who remain "hidden and bound by timidity or sin" will "get cleaned up and get moving in their calling-especially the prophets-major and minor."

Jesus is looking for those to whom He can show Himself strong, the author says. He "longs for His people to step into the ranks with Him-by His side-and advance His kingdom. Voices Crying in the Wilderness is a prophecy for this hour and the hour to come."

Alison Teed considers herself a "very minor prophet" and learned early in life to hear God's voice.
