LONGWOOD, FL--One day while on her lunch break at work, author Dana Marie Rivas was chatting with an old friend. Both women admitted to not feeling the satisfaction and purpose they thought they were supposed to feel at this point of having "made it" by the world's standards. After analyzing this for some time, she came to the realization that she felt let down and bamboozled by the lies and false promises that mainstream society and families pass on to children while growing up. Within the pages of How to Find the Path to Your Destiny ($22.99, paperback, 978-1-61215-067-3), a new Xulon Press title, the author helps others identify the lies and false promises that they have or are falling for, and leads others to their truth through journal exercises. This book will ultimately cause people to begin to think about and question the role and priority of God and Jesus in their lives.

"I pray readers will begin to take their Bibles off their shelves and begin to incorporate reading the Bible and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives to become healed, whole, and complete--and at peace and content with their daily lives," the author says. "This book is full of inspiration and loving guidance for its readers."

Dana Marie Rivas graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2000. Due to her educational background in science and technology, she says she can't help but be methodical. "In my personal search for a deeper purpose and passion about life, I created exercises for myself to follow," she explains. "These exercises led me to the biggest source of love, peace, wisdom, and truth--God. I wanted to share with others what worked for me."
