Heartbeat and heartbreaks of America chronicled in book

2007-06-20

LONGWOOD, FL-Twelve years ago, author Diana Crews was leading a prayer group when God gave her the idea for a journal about the truth of America's godly heritage. As she started penning it, she soon realized its purpose wasn't merely to get all believers praying on the same page, but to get her on the same page with God. Included in City on a Hill Prayer Journal: But for the Grace of God-A Legacy of Prayer ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-60266-306-0) are CrewsÕ conversations with God and testimonies of His grace to others. As readers lose themselves in this sweet experience, they will be drawn to a closer walk with God.

"Taking a stand for God and His ways and believing on Him means the power to make a difference," says Crews. "It is time we remembered and learned the truth about America's godly heritage, for it is needed at such a time as this, and our children need to hear it."

In today's world where the media pushes aside the importance of faith in God for more secular ideals, Crews' book brings out stories of great moments where faith in God led to great things. The author's background as an employee for the Department of Human Resources enabled her to observe the downtrodden, brokenhearted, forlorn, and disgruntled of society. She has heard their stories and what helped them make it through their problems, and now, in City on a Hill Prayer Journal, she compiles these testimonials together to recall the faithfulness and blessings shown to this nation by God-things which have made it a shining city on a hill

Diana Crews has served in the Department of Human Resources for over 25 years. She is a radio host for the "City on a Hill" radio show. She currently resides in Geneva, Alabama.
