Mays, who has had a relationship with God for the past 43 years of her life, says that it was during these years that God delivered her from the struggle of trying to emulate the character traits of other women. "Rather, I [now] imitate the character traits of Christ found in His Word," she explains. Having been taught and mentored from childhood by two spiritual mothers in the church, she says she has since learned how to study and apply God's Word to her life--and she hopes to assume that same role as a mighty woman of faith in order to help other readers in need of spiritual guidance.
