LONGWOOD, FL-In order to understand the Bible spiritually, a person must be born-again. Even a person who is born-again must have a very good overview of the whole Bible in order to rightly divide the Word of God. All Scripture must be understood in its right contextual setting. The novel Left Behind gives the impression that if a person has not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior even though they have heard and/or been confronted with the gospel numerous times, they will have a second chance when the rapture takes place. Unfortunately, this is not the case, which is why author J. Loys Boone penned Left Behind Is the Point of no Return ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-026-2), a new title from Xulon Press.

"As soon as I read the book, I knew that it was not true," the author says. "If a person believes this novel after repeatedly hearing the gospel and the rapture of the church takes place, they will be lost. This belief will cause unsaved people to be lost. I have loved ones and friends who I believe are not saved, who might believe this fictional novel and delay their decision to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved."

Boone, a resident of Los Angeles, wrote this book specifically to correct the misconceptions started by Left Behind. He feels the recent trend of fiction books weaving in biblical truths that deceive Christians is a very disturbing one--and one that must be combated. "When writing about a major subject in the Bible, a person should make an exhaustive study of that subject before writing a book," he explains. "A misconception of some major truths in the Bible can have dire and eternal consequences."
