Algiere's debut book, USA: Going to Hell in a Hand-Basket (paperback, 978-1-60477-661-4; hardcover, 978-1-60477-662-1), tackles the pervasive problems of the below-par education system, sex abuse, crime, the flawed political system, global warming, fuel dependence, and discrimination. The book is meant to identify problems within the USA and to present some basic ideas on getting us back on track to becoming an honorable and respected society.
Says Algiere, a teacher and educator with extensive travel and military experience, "I expect individuals to take action and write letters and other forms of communication to the people to do the right thing. Armed with a Ph.D. in education, an AS in civil technology, and a bachelor's degree in business, Algiere believes his considerable wealth of knowledge can help get our country on the road to recovery, reclaiming the social and cultural heritage our forefathers fought and died for.
