Flammang cooks up a wonderful collection of great foods in Family Comfort Food Classics ($21.99, paperback, 978-1-61379-333-6; $35.99, hardcover, 978-1-61379-334-3), a new Xulon Press title. Within the pages of this mouth-watering book, the author shares a wonderful assortment of food from different parts of the world, including Hawaii, Germany, France, and more. These simple recipes are teamed with corresponding Scripture verses that will bless each and every reader with their insight.
“I hope that they will gain the knowledge of how to put different ingredients together to make great tasting entrees and desserts,” the author says. “Because it is fun to make and try different foods that can also be made healthy. To my knowledge, this is the first recipe book to have Scripture verses for each recipe.”
Flammang came up with the idea for this special collection 25 to 30 years ago, after remembering all of her favorite recipes from childhood that her mother used to make. After asking most of her family to contribute some recipes to the book, she is sharing with the world a dream that the Lord had put into her heart years ago. “My hope is that you might enjoy this collection of recipes as much as I do,” she says.
