MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Monica Weber’s new book, Red Ribbon White Lies: A Memoir ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-311-4; $22.99, hardcover, 978-1-61904-312-1), readers will embark on an intimate journey of discovering God’s faithfulness and abiding love. This book illustrates some of the momentous times in her life. At the age of forty-two, the Author has been living with HIV/AIDS for nearly two decades. She was widowed at the age of thirty. She would discover a new path with a new found strength in her walk with God. Monica Weber’s story reveals that by allowing God to change her vantage point, she developed a new approach to life. Red Ribbon White Lies is a story of love, trust and faith one woman discovered on her life’s journey.

“This process took me on a journey…a journey of faith, hope and love. I knew I had arrived when I discovered, for myself, that faith – untested - is meaningless,” expresses Weber. “I wanted to tell my story. I simply could not accept the thought of being relegated to the white lies and façade of being something I was not.”

Monica Weber has been involved in peer counseling, the Community Advisory Board (CAB), fundraising, AIDS awareness and education, public speaking and community outreach. Volunteering as a peer counselor allowed her to recognize her own brokenness. Serving on the Community Advisory Board allowed her to see that she was joining an effort of global proportion, which allowed her to make a difference in so many lives. Weber’s involvement in AIDS awareness and education was the driving force behind this book, which allowed her to unveil her story with candor and transparency so it may be relatable to an expansive audience.
