MAITLAND, FL— The pages of G.M. Matheny’s new book, GREAT STONES’ Jeremiah 43:9-10 ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-705-1; $25.99, hardcover, 978-1-61904-706-8; $7.99, e-book, 978-1-61904-707-5), show that it is clear that God’s word is accurate and if readers choose to believe it, they can discover things that an archaeologist could not. The author describes the book as being ‘a fun adventure, a true story!’

“This is a true story of biblical archaeology with mysteries, surprises, intrigue and ironies. The story is told as the events unfolded and progresses from having only a few pieces of the puzzle to making the find,” states the author. “Along the way, I learned some things that showed the error of certain ideas that I had held at the beginning. I therefore have noted my mistakes and the errors of others, and given what was right when I found it later.”

G.M. Matheny was a Navy diver on the nuclear submarine U.S.S. Halibut and received the Legion of Merit for a special operation. He is a graduate of Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College in 1979. He and his wife Nancy came to Romania in 1991 with their six children, where they serve as missionaries. Matheny authored the book, EXODUS, about the locations of the Exodus route, sea crossing and God’s mountain.
