MAITLAND, FL— When author Rick Williams penned
the new book, God's Will: His Greatest Gift, ($17.99, paperback, 9781498434027;
$8.99, e-book, 9781498434034) he had today’s Christian in mind. It is becoming
increasingly common for believers to be misled by the systems and/or methods of
men into following a denomination, a church, or any other arrangement in place
of discipleship to Jesus Christ. However, the author is quick to point out that
the great Christian Reformers preach discipleship to Jesus Christ and His
Kingdom. By replacing devotion to a specific church or pastor with discipleship
to Jesus, the reader is engaging in a biblical action, and subsequently will
experience the manifestation of God’s Kingdom.
“It is my hope that this book will inspire deep theological thought, and challenge believers to follow Christ in the manner that He intended,” states the author. “This book gives insight into the enigma of Christians who claim the name, but struggle with the abundance of the ‘easy yoke and light burden’ that Jesus promised. I hope it answers questions for believers as to why the victories in some Christians’ lives look like defeat, and share what some of those struggles look like.”
Rick Williams describes himself as a grateful believer in Jesus Christ whose life did not equal the message that he was given on Sunday morning. In his pursuit of that Sunday morning message, the author one day found himself behind the pulpit preaching that message. Upon another failure in his life, Rick decided to stop questioning himself and began to question the message. What he found was that the message preached on Sunday morning got the exact results that it was supposed to get; devotion to a denomination, but not discipleship to Jesus Christ. The author points out that discipleship to Jesus will manifest God's Kingdom, not devotion to a method.
