MAITLAND, FL— Tiffany Wasson’s new book, Running Mascara - Embracing the Beauty of an Imperfect Church, ($16.99, paperback, 9781498464888; $8.99, e-book, 9781498464895) is the author’s thought-provoking journey to perfectionism and how it left no room for Jesus in her life. Her book reveals her life broken and poured out on pages for the world to read. She has personally walked the lonely, frustrating road of perfectionism in body, mind, and spirit. Through her writing, she stresses how if the church isn’t careful, it can fall into the same trap as she did – pushing Jesus and His mission out of the main focus. Tiffany explains why the bride of Christ must embrace its constant need for the Savior so that more people will fall in love with Him – the one who seeks out the broken to heal them and set them free. This book is for anyone desperately trying to be the perfect Christian with no success – a way to break free from the vicious cycle of perfectionism.

“Perfectionism is an exhausting way of life and keeps us from a full relationship with the Lord,” states the author. “Plus, it can push away people we try to reach for Christ because they might believe that they have to be perfect before Jesus accepts them. My prayer is each reader will break free from perfectionism, for the sake of their lives and others, by embracing their imperfections in the loving arms of the Savior.”

Tiffany Wasson has been involved in ministry since she was 14 years old. Her journey began at Lighthouse Christian Broadcasting in St. Marys, Georgia – as a youth leader, an on air minister, and a radio show host. She has also been dedicated in the church for over 17 years volunteering behind the scenes. She has witnessed how Christians destroy their lives by wearing masks of perfectionism. She has also viewed how non-believers are turned away from Christians who act like they have it all together. Tiffany has experienced enough life to know that everyone is broken and at times, a mess. And most importantly, she believes that everyone needs Jesus.
