What comes at you in life doesn't have to take you out.
Within the pages of 7 Bullets Couldn't Kill Me ($21.99, hardcover, 9781545610374, $13.49, paperback, 9781545610367; $6.99, e-book, 9781545610381), Jacob Lopez expounds on
that statement with his autobiography, which
tells the story of how he overcame a gang lifestyle.
“This book is about
overcoming a gang life and living in the 'concrete jungle,' where the rule is
hunt or be hunted,” the author states. “I
mentioned seven bullets which is very symbolic because seven is God's perfect
number. I was shot seven bullets, left for dead. What was meant for evil, God
turned it for good. It's hard to see it that way, but I was given time to live.”
Growing up in the Bronx, New York, Lopez lost his purpose
and joined a gang, which almost led to death
“God came and turned it
around for the good,” Lopez says. “This book is for mothers who hope that their
children can make the right steps in life or for parents not to give up on
their children. It's also for troubled teenagers who are being pressured to
join gangs.”
Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Jacob Lopez is
passionate about teaching God's Word, and loves to see people transformed and
living life with a purpose. He mentors young adults and men in a ministry
called The Brotherhood. Lopez also volunteers in a program called Casa Refugio
(House of Refuge), which is for men who overcame drug addiction.
