The Christmas Letters
Something Special for the Holidays
Xulon Press announces the release of The Christmas Letters
Something Special for the Holidays
2018-05-01
Do you find it hard to give something up that you know was
the right thing to do?
Within the pages of The Christmas Letters ($16.49, paperback, 9781545629284; $8.99, e-book, 9781545629291). Readers
will meet Frank Trask, who writes letters every Christmas to friends in town
who need something extra for the holidays.
His family had been supportive until three years ago when
Frank had a heart attack and the letters consumed all of his time away from his
family. His daughter, Emma, thinks it’s time for her dad to retire from his
letters and spend more time with the family.
“I believe everybody can relate to this book,” Kathy Mowery says.
“How does it make you feel when God snatches something out of your hand or
forces you to give something up that you knew was the right thing to do? How do
you feel when He gives you a challenge that you know there is no way you can do
that? We all have questions on the
challenges we face every day.”
Tension, anger, heartache along with love, patience and
forgiveness during the holiday season will make this Christmas the Trask family
will never forget.
“I want the reader to know
that it’s okay not to understand why God does what He does,” the author states. “Sometimes God’s will is that
we stay in a season for a long period of time waiting for God to move or move
us. God can challenge us when we are
forced to give up one task for another according to His will.”
Kathy Mowery lives with her
husband and their two children in Katy, Texas. When she’s not writing, she’s
involved in women’s ministry and volunteering at her church. She is currently writing
her second novel, which will be out next summer.
