Former special needs curriculum specialist Diana Lynn
Rucker hopes to fill a literary void with her new book, Logos – In the Beginning ($12.49,
paperback,9781498441155; $5.99, e-book,9781498441162). Rucker noticed that there are few books that
place a special needs student as the main character, and she wanted to give
these students someone with whom they could relate.
Logos – In the Beginning “will
help [special needs students] to see that God still has a purpose for their
lives and they can make a difference in the world,” said Rucker.
Ricky is in a wheelchair and sees his disability as an
injustice. He allows it to taint his
view of life until his wise grandfather helps him to see that God has not left
him out.
Diana Lynn Rucker holds a B.A. in Ministry. She has worked as an Educational Assistant
and Curriculum Specialist for special needs children. She was voted Teacher of the Year in 2015 and
is currently teaching music.
Xulon Press, a division of Salem Media Group, is the
world’s largest Christian self-publisher, with more than 12,000 titles
