Author Regina Bargo shares a story of grief and healing in Jonas Wept ($14.99, paperback, 9781612155173).

After Jonas’ father died, he became bitter and angry, despite insight from his pen pal, Michael.  Michael’s father was killed in the attack on the World Trade Center, and he encourages Jonas through his grief.  The next step is picked up by Jonas’ grandfather, who is able to break through Jonas’s barriers and encourage healing.

In this five-star rated book, Bargo encourages middle school students to allow the grieving process to run its course, and to allow healing into their hearts.

“I hope that my readers will realize that there is a loving God who is present through every minute of their lives. Also, I want them to be assured that nothing that happens is a surprise to God. He can help them through anything that happens in their life!” said Bargo.

Regina Bargo is a teacher at Girdler Elementary School. After a heart-wrenching visit to Ground Zero, she was compelled to write a story that would bring peace to those who has lost loved ones in the attack on the World Trade Center. She uses her own life experiences and faith in God to reach out to grieving hearts everywhere!
