No Matter How Long Ago You Were the Victim of Abuse, Your Behavior Can Still Be Shaped By It

Xulon Press presents eye-opening research on abuse and its effects.

2020-08-07

Author S.K.L. shares her research into the long term effects of abuse in Creating Crazy: The Unforeseen Consequences of Abuse ($24.99, paperback, 9781631294259; $9.99, e-book, 9781631294266).

Many years after her abuse took place, S.K.L. found her own behavior explained in research.  She began to understand why she and many other abuse survivors think and act the way they do.  This realization opened her eyes to the long-term, sometimes life-long, effects of child abuse on the individual.

“The harm inflicted on a child can last a lifetime, so it is important to read this book with an open mind in order to understand, learn, and help stop the mental and emotional damage inflicted on our future adults,” said S.K.L.

S.K.L. was born in Hollywood and grew up in a small Southern California town. She has been a wife to her husband, Mike, for the last twenty years, while raising their two children, who are now grown. Besides learning and writing about her experience with abuse, she has always been an avid horsewoman, artist, sculptor, and gardener.
