Jennifer Truitt was born in Dallas, Texas and attended Southwest Texas State University, studying Business Management. Her dad owned three restaurants that she worked at from the young age of twelve, which inspired her to have a place of her own one day. In 1994, she started catering and two years later opened her first restaurant called Gourmet Country Café in Taylor, Texas. She is truly just a small-town girl who got to live out her dream of cooking and making people smile for over twenty years!
