Author Phidia K. Maingi shares her personal testimony along with changes everyone can make in United by Privilege: Six Steps for Turning a Privilege into a Shelter ($18.99, paperback, 9781662825378; $8.99, e-book, 9781662825385).

After eight years of marriage and two children, Maingi’s husband divorced her to marry their adopted daughter.  Fleeing her native Kenya to begin a new life, Maingi arrived in America and saw a different problem with new eyes.  She was disturbed by the racism she saw in her new country and did not balk at the chance to get involved and help to change it.

“We live in a world of privileges we cannot eliminate—they are ingrained in the fabric of society—but we can maximize privilege to reap the benefits for all, as opposed to the few,” said Maingi.

Phidia Maingi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and is the CEO and Founder of Rescue the Passion Global, which seeks to empower people to transform their lives from disaster into dynasty and mess into merry through the magic of building their careers inside their Absolute passion.  Maingi has helped many people through her life experiences to find their wholeness and abundance through maximizing on their Absolute Passion to attain fulfillment in health, relationships, career, and wealth creation.
