Author Jeannie Savage pens book one in the historical, romance Mercy Series of books called The Lady and The Pinkerton ($17.49, paperback, 9781662843976; $9.99, e-book, 9781662843983).
Savage’s first book of the Mercy Series follows character Hamilton Hatcher, who has been searching for his sister, Sarah for more than one year. Making no progress in his search, he hires Jake Kincaide of the Pinkerton Detective Agency. Jake finds a property purchased under Sarah’s name but the home is now inhabited by a mysterious woman named Kate. While the detective must uncover what this young woman is hiding – he must also follow a hunch that Hamilton Hatcher’s reasons for finding his sister may be more sinister than heartfelt. Readers will be on the edge of their seats as mystery and romance abound. While the story takes place after the Civil War, the topic is relatable to today’s struggles.
“I was inspired to write this story because of a reoccurring dream,” said Savage. “The beginning of the story kept replaying in my dreams for 3 months. I had to write it down so I could sleep. When I started writing it down, the dream moved on to the next part.”
Jeannie Savage and her husband Steve, have two grown sons and live in Indiana. She is a retired office manager for Re/Max Real Estate Company.
Savage loves music, bible studies and spending time with family and friends.
She also enjoys camping, bicycling, reading, research and genealogy. She is a cancer survivor and is happy to share her story.
