Minister Murphy’s book focuses upon believers learning to walk in faith. He explains that “now” is the time for believers to stand firm and walk in their calling. He also addresses nonbelievers, urging that “now” is the time to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. This book provides readers with forty chapters full of “power, authority and strength” aimed to convince believer’s and nonbeliever’s to operate in obedience in accordance with God’s Holy Word.

Minister Alvin Murphy graduated Roosevelt High School in Gary, Indiana. He was raised at the Christian Valley M.B. Church under the pastorship of the late Pastor C. H. Taylor. He was licensed as a Minister in 2006, certified as an Ordained Minister in 2008. He enjoys writing, composing and arranging music. He plays the organ, acoustic piano, digital piano and keyboard. He plays all styles of gospel music. Minister Murphy was trained in music theory and harmony under the late Mrs. Eva Brooks, mother of TV actor Avery Brooks. He trained in piano and organ under the schooling of Ms. Delena Mack. Further training was received from the late Mr. Clearance Haynes, the organist of the Christian Valley M.B. Church for thirty-five years. He received additional training from Mrs. Ida Eunice Lawrence.
