Author Brother Brooklyn inspires readers to take control of their thought processes in Lessons from the School of Hard Knocks ($17.49, paperback, 9781662845413; $8.99, e-book, 9781662845420).

Brooklyn took his name from his childhood home: the projects of Brooklyn, NY.  He useslessons from those formative years, his professional development, and the sentence he served in prison to teach others how our minds and thoughts are influenced by a variety of sources.  Once those influences are identified, readers can choose how they wish to transition their thoughts and allow themselves to be guided by love.

“I want to inspire fore-thought for your future self, so that you can use your free will more often and more clearly to choose love over hate and positivity over negativity, said Brooklyn.

Brother Brooklyn is a retired automation engineer with over 20 years of experience in prison ministry.  He is a licensed minister with a B.S.A. degree in Industrial Technology and Management from Ferris State University and an A.A.S. degree in Materials Technology from Muskegon Community College.  He served as a Navy Safety Supervisor and received training in Human Behavior and Naval Leadership, as well 3M Administration and Operations and other specializations.
