Author John Genco addresses the questions many are too afraid to ask aloud in The Last Funeral: The Death Of Death ($15.49, paperback, 9798868515842; $6.99, e-book, 9798868515859).
A lifetime of pastoring means that you get asked a lot of questions. What has become of all who have ever lived and died, from the beginning of time? What happened to all the aborted, unborn children? Is there hope of reconciliation beyond death? While many of us are able to push these questions to the back of our minds, Genco has had to face them, and he has compiled the answers he gleaned from years of Bible study in one place in order to expand his readers' thinking about the greatness of our God.
"The evidence found in 'The Book' gives us hope beyond Death. Come and enjoy a journey with the man who has spent a lifetime dancing with the Divine,” said Genco.
John Genco is a New York City boy who loves Vermont country living. At 89, he still enjoys his jet-ski and four-wheeler. In 1957, he married Ruth Elizabeth Gerhart. Their 67-year journey to fulfill God's plan for their lives has seen them singing and preaching the Good News to the poor and downtrodden, gathering many children for Bible Story Hour, visiting the sick and healing the broken-hearted, and calling the world to follow Jesus. They have pastored six congregations and, together with their three children, have evangelized in song both at home and abroad, producing five gospel albums along the way.
