LONGWOOD, FL--If you are looking for a basic and straightforward book of Bible truths, then Jeffrey L. Tribby's A Little Collection of Truths: And a Few Other Items ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-60791-510-2) is a must-read. This book looks at a group of biblical truths from the perspective of an average citizen who uses Scripture, jokes, short stories, and life experiences to examine them. This book is for everyone, Christian or non-Christian, teen and adult, who would like to take a serious yet whimsical look at some of the most fundamental truths that are found in the Bible.

Says the Xulon Press author, "I'd like for readers to see the Bible and some basic truths of life at face value, take them to heart, and be encouraged by them. [My book] has different perspectives on the Bible and on life due to the personal and sometimes unique examples I have to draw on. I personally have never seen a similar book on the market."

A retired Naval Petty Officer who became a true believer in Jesus Christ on the Philippine Islands during the Viet Nam era, Tribby says he took many lessons and observations of life to heart and, most importantly, did not take them for granted. During his naval career and afterward, his passion for writing steered him toward science fiction, which he blended with Christian beliefs and values. Following a short career as a library assistant at a local university, he retired for medical reasons. This gave him some new insights and perspectives on his life in Jesus, and he decided to share a few of them with readers in this book.
