LONGWOOD, FL-You've heard of the terrible twos, and you may even be living through them now. Or you may have survived them and feel a little guilty for yelling at your children. But what else could you do? You had no place to find peace. In Dwelling in God...with Toddlers at Your Feet (paperback, 978-1-60477-240-1) author Deborah Colbert shines a light in the tunnel of the terrible twos, threes, fours, and more?'to show mothers they can find rest in their relationship with God.

"Dwelling in God with toddlers at your feet involves being aware of a calling greater than diapers, dishes, dirty clothes, and dinner," says the author. "You find value in every moment as an opportunity to minister to those who need your help. It means caring for your children out of an overflow of the abundant care you receive from your heavenly Father."

Child abuse starts in the heart, says Colbert, and is acted out through the hands. But in this book she gives frustrated mothers the tools to stop the destructive cycle of screaming at their children and then grieving because they are not fulfilling their role as a compassionate, loving mom.

She encourages mothers to develop a deep love for the Word of God and realize it is the source of strength for them as they face the daily challenges.

Deborah Colbert is married and lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is a mother of four children-ages 2, 4, 6, and 8-and has earned her master's of education degree in community counseling from the University of Oklahoma.
