LONGWOOD, FL-Obsessive and addictive behaviors are more prevalent than we think. They devastate families, destroy relationships, and they can separate us from God. We are deceived about if we are really saved. First-time author D.M. Klatt's book, Grits, Rice, and Dustpan Biscuits: We Have a Choice (paperback, 978-1-60477-331-6) explains what happens, why it happens, why we act and think the way we do, and what unlocks the supernatural power of God. We have a choice and we will have eternity to think about it.

The book runs the gamut in terms of topics, taking readers on a journey from Motown to the Temple Mount, Georgia to the gates of heaven, Abraham to Ahmadinejad, Ardennes to Armageddon, anti-depressants to the Antichrist, ADD to addiction, the Internet to Islam, and from denial to demonic spirits. Readers will learn how these things can devastate families, destroy relationships, and separate us from God.

Klatt and his wife, a hard-working, financially secure Christian couple next door, lost everything they owned, shortly after becoming homeless, facing starvation and death, only to have the truth revealed about themselves, God, and their purpose in life. This eye-opening experience was what encouraged Klatt to put pen to paper and scribble out his views on truth, faith, and choice. "I have found what truly works to have peace, happiness, and joy in my life and it will work for anyone that is willing to change," he says.

D.M. Klatt is married with a son in college and two grown stepsons. He and his wife live in Georgia.
