Grigsby, an ordained minister since 1986, says that she lived most of her life in a shell, a place of safety and protection. She was nearly uncommunicative in speech, speaking only when she deemed it absolutely necessary. She felt as though much of what she had to say was insignificant. Because of life experiences, her belief system about herself was negatively affected for many years. Although she became proficient at covering up, something inside her called purpose began to crack open the shell. Once the truth set her free, she resolved to help others by empowering them to set themselves free by truth and overcoming fear.
