LONGWOOD, FL--For author Patrick K. Canon, M.D., June 4, 2005 was a day that will never be forgotten. After hearing his wife tell him she wanted a divorce, and that the dissolution of his marriage was at hand, he fell to his knees in prayer and begged Jesus Christ to rescue him from the snares of Satan, sin, and death. The following day, he was saved from his sins. In The Light of the World: Let Freedom Ring! ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-380-4) the Xulon Press author tells his personal eyewitness testimony of the miracle God worked in his life. The author began writing this book in 2006 to chronicle the tremendous pain and suffering he experienced--as well as the salvation offered him by Jesus Christ.

Canon, a board-certified physician and surgeon, suffered a tremendous amount of pain and loss when he and his wife divorced. Since then, Jesus Christ has transformed him into a new man, and He has given him the peace that surpasses all understanding throughout his trial. He hopes to help lead readers who may not know Christ--or who may doubt He exists--to accept Him as Lord and Savior based on the power of his God-given message and then spend an eternity in heaven.
