LONGWOOD, FL--In the Old Testament, God called Abraham and Sarah to pick up and leave everything they knew to go to an unfamiliar place, to live a nomadic life, all the while being totally dependent on Him for all their needs. Would God possibly call a present day Christian family out of a comfortable, conventional American lifestyle to do exactly that? In Life in the Faith Lane ($22.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-167-5), Xulon Press author Jennifer J. Swanson shares her experiences of following her husband's lead in the calling to leave everything behind and follow Jesus. Day by day as she and her family stepped out in faith, God met them in supernatural ways, giving them a glimpse of how powerful the Creator of the universe really is.

Swanson hopes her book will touch readers in unique ways. "For the believer, I hope to encourage and remind them that we serve a powerful God, and for the unbeliever, my hope is to show them there is a supernatural realm to tap into that will direct them to a God who will meet them on a personal level, not a religious level," she says.

Drawing on her 29 years of experience walking with God on a personal level, Swanson imbues her book with relevance, relating it to the currently unstable nature of the global economy. "Not many books address the issue," she explains. "It's especially applicable in our present day situation to put our trust in a living God." Just as her life--and the lives of her family members--have been deeply enriched by this intimate communion, so too will the lives of readers who learn to lean on the promises of God.

Jennifer J. Swanson currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
