LONGWOOD, FL--Years ago, Xulon Press author Don R. Harper had a very unusual experience at a Methodist revival when his feet automatically tried to carry him down to the altar to call for an all-night prayer vigil at the pastor's request. He refused to go and ran from this experience for many years until being born again at another Methodist lay renewal meeting years later. A former lay speaker for the Methodist church, Harper has written this book as a call for prayer warriors to begin praying for an Ark-La-Tex spiritual awakening titled "The Jesus-X-Plosion," set for July 4, 2011. Additionally, he hopes this book--and its spiritual awakening--will help readers to stop practicing occultic activities for fear of losing heaven as their eternal resting place.
Don R. Harper has been married to his wife, Dorothy, for more than 60 years. He has had many careers, including a newspaper advertiser, bank marketing vice-president, racquet club owner/operator, and public relations director of the development office for East Texas Baptist University--where he retired in 1996.
