LONGWOOD, FL-When John Rutan, a frontier Iowa farm boy, leaves the only life he knows to join the Union Army during the Civil War, he unexpectedly meets and falls in love with a beautiful city girl, Rebekah Ann Riley. Their lives change forever. They know that their love for each other and their faith must be strong. But is it strong enough to withstand the long periods of separation and endure problems, struggles, and tragedies that neither one can foresee or avoid? Can this once-in-a-lifetime love continue or will it be cut short by the throes of war? James E. Rady's debut novel, Love Finds a Way (paperback, 978-1-60477-762-8), shows that true love can prevail over trails, disappointments, and tragedies, bringing lives together.

Says Rady, "I hope the readers will take away a feeling of needing to have the faith to hold onto their beliefs and the patience to see them through all situations. And why should the readers hold onto these? Because that kind of faith and patience is needed very much today as they face and deal with the daily encounters life brings their way."

The author penned his first fiction manuscript in 1966, which he describes as "a disaster, to say the least." In 1970, he tried again, this time writing a nonfiction manuscript, but soon laid his efforts aside. Finally, four years ago, he felt led by God to take some of the work from both manuscripts and embellish the contents from a Christian standpoint, allowing the reader to see the workings of GodÕs love in the characters. And now, at the age of 85, he is finally ready to debut his novel.
