LONGWOOD, FL-It is January of 1852. Dan Forbes is leading a wagon train westward from St. Louis to San Francisco. He has successfully led previous mid-winter trips but, unbeknownst to Dan, this trip will be quite different. Venture westward with the early pioneers in C. Gordon Wilson's Blizzard of the Millennium ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-986-8), an action-packed story with a fascinating aspect of early American history. As Dan leads the pioneers westward into Indian and outlaw territory, the elements present a factor none of them can control when a blizzard strikes, catching the wagon train. The ordeal that follows tests the courage of the human spirit when faced with adversity, and faith in God proves to be paramount during the mammoth snowstorm.

Says Wilson, "I think that the readers of my book will discover and be reminded of the fact that God answers prayer. The main characters in my book find strength and hope as they rely upon God, and I believe my readers will receive this same inspiration and hope for their own lives, for challenges they may be facing."

Wilson has always loved reading and writing and has been fascinated by the westward expansion period of American history. A graduate of Duke University, where he majored in English, the author cites the writing of this book as "the fulfillment of a dream I have had to put into words some of the adventures, lives, and times of early American pioneers," he says.

C. Gordon Wilson lives in the suburban Maryland area with his wife, Lisa.
