LONGWOOD, FL--A new phenomenon has manifested itself inside the Christian Church. It appears to be a worldwide grassroots spiritual movement that is calling people to re-examine the Hebrew roots of their faith. This movement is likely the most significant spiritual event to occur within the Christian Church since the Charismatic movement of some 45 years ago. This phenomenon, which is referred to as the Hebrew Roots Movement or the Messianic Israel Movement, involves Christians returning to a Hebraic expression of the Christian faith. Within the pages of Stephen J. Spykerman's riveting new Xulon Press book, Christians & Jews - The Two Faces of Israel: The Unveiling of the Mysteries of the Kingdom ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-539-7), the author intends to introduce some fresh and exciting new interpretations of some of the New Testament parables and miracles of Christ Jesus.

"With Christians & Jews - The Two Faces of Israel I hope to bring an inspiring and new perspective that will help Christians to gain a deeper appreciation of their wonderful calling in Christ, the Messiah," the author says. "I will seek to open up a truth to both Christian and Jew as to their origins, which will be especially encouraging to Christians."

Spykerman was born to a Dutch father and an English mother in September 1940 during the Nazi occupation of Holland. After marrying Virginia Edwards, the couple earnestly sought the strong meat of solid Bible teaching they had become accustomed to, but could not find it anywhere in their new home of East Anglia. It was while he was searching that his eyes were opened to the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. In this book, he shares his dramatic and eye-opening insights.
