LONGWOOD, FL-According to historians, Hitler was a highly religious man, yet look at the many atrocities he committed throughout his life. But what possessed him to turn his attention toward rounding up millions of Jews in concentration camps and executing them? Was it done for his own glory? Or did he make a completely conscious decision to embrace evil? In E. A. Merodach's The Dialogues of Adolph and Mavelia and Other Sketches ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-60791-818-9), the author gives a fictional depiction of a conversation between Hitler and a supernatural character, or devil, recognized as Mavelia. Through this testimony, the author hopes to convey the manifold struggles of those who transition between the secular and the holy.

Says Merodach, "My intention is not to personify evil for the sake of entertainment, nor to merely make a point. The enemy is real and I feel compelled to emphasize this truth. Spiritual warfare transpires daily, and we are all in enemy territory, but like David, one need only don the full armor of the Holy Spirit to render Satan desperate and powerless."

A lover of great literature, Merodach spent his time studying many of the classics while incarcerated. Most importantly, during these years he was provided with the time and patience to read the Bible with understanding, which in turn led him to God's mercy. "Not only am I trying to share an inspired message with the world; I am also trying to revive literature as an art form," he reveals.

E. A. Merodach currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife and children.
