LONGWOOD, FL-In its natural state, American government served as Western civilization's crowning achievement; in its current state, it is our most devastating failure. The former represents an entity comprised of great men dedicated to protecting and preserving culture, while the latter is made up of traitors who are intent on its destruction. In John Tait's Plain Truth (paperback, 978-1-60647-558-4), a new release from Christian self-publisher Xulon Press, the author examines the consequences of our government, which denies America's origins as a Western Christian nation. The reason for writing this, says the author, is because "it is our duty to ensure posterity that they have a nation guided by Christian principles."

By ascribing to the talking points of neither major political party, Plain Truth has carved out a niche for itself as a truly unique book in a market glutted by books with a blatantly partisan agenda. "The people are looking for a voice in government and, as of yet, [they] are offered nothing from Washington. Plain Truth makes that clear using reason, common sense, and history to prove my points," the author says.

A resident of Glenview, Illinois, Tait-a self-professed "student of history"-obtained his bachelor's degree in history from Northeastern Illinois University in 2006. Ever since then he has worked hard to see his desire-that America be made a Christian nation once again-become a reality.
