LONGWOOD, FL-We have all heard the amazing story of Christ's crucifixion on the cross for mankindÕs salvation, but what about the untold stories? In Xulon author Dough Hubler's newest work of fiction, Years Untold (paperback, 978-1-60647-284-2), which documents the unrecorded years before Jesus' ministry, revolves not only around the family of Joseph and Mary, but also the intrigue and corruption within the palace of Judea's king, Archelaus. HerodÕs obsession with finding and destroying the Christ-child lives on in Archelaus, his heir, who is determined to fulfill his father's dying wish. Additionally, Attolus, the king's royal advisor, leads a traitorous band of inquisitors to Bethlehem in search of answers in a journey that will affect the advisor in every conceivable fashion. Years Untold follows these threads as well as several others as they weave themselves through the fate of the child who would become Jesus of Nazareth.

Says Hubler, a native of Tennessee, "God's plan of salvation is the thread that weaves itself throughout the story. I would hope that believers are warmed by the story and non-believers are given a signpost that leads them to the Lord."

A teacher for 27 years, HublerÕs study of God's Word and his commitment to his personal ministry were what led him to pen Years Untold. His decision to write a book was cemented when he noticed how few books on the market actually focused on Jesus' life between the years of 12 and 30. He felt it was an important period in Christ's life because it "showed how He grew in wisdom as He struggled against Satan's machinations," he says.
