LONGWOOD, FL--In Xulon Press author Doris Payton's Jewels Shining in Darkness: Jewels in the Kingdom of God ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-520-8), the author empowers women of all ages and junctures in life to embrace God's expectations for womanhood, live a life of excellence and holiness for His glory, and become a woman of virtue whose worth is not lesser in value or equal to but far greater than the value of a rare jewel or "priceless ruby." The message contained within the pages of this book is life-changing, granting readers the ability to edify, encourage, and strengthen themselves while still empowering the body of Christ.

"[Readers will gain] increased knowledge and understanding of godly and ungodly wisdom by comparison and contrast to lifestyle choices, ways of thinking, and manner of conduct as portrayed by the characteristics of diverse women in the Bible and the choices one make can lead to success or failure, life or death," the author says.

As the founder of the Far Above Rubies Women's Ministry, she empowers women daily to strive for excellence in order to fulfill their divine purpose and destiny. In this, her first publication, she hopes to further this work of bringing women into line with the wonderful destiny God has planned for them.
