LONGWOOD, FL-Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit down and talk with a lady from the Bible? Wouldn't it be nice to see if she had some of our same struggles and see how she handled them? Xulon author Jacque Griggs' imaginative debut, Have a Chat with a Biblical Woman, does just that. Travel back in time and meet 31 women who God put in His Word to encourage us in our walk with Him. From Puah to Anna to Jehosheba to Elisheba and Zeruiah, the book spins several first-person tales biblical characters whose lives were forever changed by their faith.

Says Griggs, "My desire is for young ladies and women of today to realize God has given them the answers to today's struggles and trials in the Bible. I believe women do not think the Bible can help them with their day-to-day issues and that the stories in the Bible are just old stories. They need to seek the answers to their trials from the Bible; too many women are not doing this."

As the director of a ministry, Griggs has dressed up in biblical apparel and presented some of these women's stories at worship services, ladies' conferences, and Bible studies. "[I] started writing about and dramatizing biblical women so that young ladies and women could see how real these women were [and how they relate] to the battle we are living through right now."

Jacque Griggs resides in the Atlanta, Georgia, area with her husband. They began a ministry in 1987 that caters to at-risk youth.
