LONGWOOD, FL--America's future depends on how truthfully each person deals with his or her negative emotions. Chief among these is the primary emotion of fear, which may be positive or negative. Because of the original sin in the Garden of Eden, man has a flaw in his brain. And now, due to this flaw, author Dr. Barry Philipp can provide scientific evidence that Jesus Christ is man's only Savior. In The Fear Factor: Finding Peace in a Desperate Society ($17.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-444-3), the author presents an enhanced understanding of how man's emotional problems are established and presents the theory that fear is the basis of the global conflicts we are observing today. With this discovery, it is now possible to fully comprehend and understand some of mankind's most baffling questions.

Says Philipp, "By understanding our emotional scars or our unintegrated fear, we can take a giant leap toward understanding ourselves, our emotions, and our motivations. With this knowledge we can know ourselves and why we believe as we do, why we engage in certain behavior, as well as understand the beliefs and actions of others. However, attaining this profound understanding of oneself is only possible through the acceptance of Jesus Christ, asking for His forgiveness, and receiving His perfect love which drives out fear."

As a veterinarian, the author developed his concept about the flaw in man's brain from observing fear reactions in animals, as well as personal fearful events. Part of his veterinary curriculum involved intensive brain studies, and this allowed him to understand the pathways in the brain involving fear and thus begin to explain emotional problems from a purely neurophysiological perspective. "So, as we observe society and the wars we have fought, we can appreciate the irrational behavior demonstrated by those in our social and political circles," he says.
