LONGWOOD, FL-Too often today, both Christians and non-Christians change the channel when it comes to listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Douglas Schueler's Love Notes, Life Notes (paperback, 978-1-60266-289-6) is the perfect answer for those seeking to tune back into that still, small voice. The book's goal is to glorify God despite our disobedience to Him or lack of understanding about Him. Readers will come away with a better understanding of how to rely solely on God in their daily lives.

The poems, written in response to the leading of the Holy Spirit, are Schueler's honest, open reflections on the saving grace of God. Says the author, "Too many people today say there is no God, or 'if' there is, they are not subject to Him. I would like for them to see the facts of His existence by opening their hearts and experiencing Him firsthand."

Through both the good times and bad, Schueler has been inspired to write what he believes the Spirit used to lead him through his life. It is his hope that these "notes" will touch others too and allow them to see how God will always guide them through life's toughest challenges. For the author, it was the godly virtues glorified within his book that helped keep him on track even during adversity: "I am honest and open, but I'm not perfect," says Schueler. "Without God's guidance and direction in my life, I would be lost."

Doug Schueler lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Robyn, and their son, Elijah. He graduated with a bachelorÕs degree in forestry from Purdue University and a master's degree in parks and recreation management from Clemson University.
