LONGWOOD, FL--In Keiah Ellis' new release, Aftermath ($18.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-861-2; $28.99, hardcover, 978-1-61579-862-9), Leisa watches in dismay as the television screen flashed aerial pictures of the rescue workers trying to reach injured people in the train wreckage. She looks over at the clock before realizing with horror that her daughter's train was scheduled to arrive in town. Follow Leisa through a story of tragedy and triumph as she grows to realize the spiritual reality that there are angelic and demonic forces at work in every one of our lives at any given moment.

"The theme of this book is universal," the author says. "It's for everyone because everyone has dealt with something that shook up what they thought they knew about life. Sometimes we make our own plans and just live as though everything will work out the way we expected, but a lot of times it doesn't work out that way. This book explores that concept and brings the spiritual side of it to the forefront without being overt or glaringly 'religious' in the readers' faces."

Ellis was blessed with the opportunity to write this book by the leading of the Holy Spirit. "I surrendered my heart and mind to the Lord, and I believe that He used my hands as the 'pen of a ready writer' to sketch on the hearts and minds of those who choose to read this book," she explains. It is her hope that readers--either saved or unsaved--will gain precious insight into themes of love and loss.
