LONGWOOD, FL-Author Linda E. Clementson lived her life with little restraints. She was trying to cover up all the guilt she felt over having an abortion at the age of 16 and the terrible life that she was living--nothing could take those feelings away. Fishing was the only thing that gave her time away from constantly thinking about how she had ruined her life. Thankfully, one day while watching an evangelist on TV, she found herself on the living room floor, begging God's forgiveness for every evil thing she had done. Within the pages of God's Fishing Pole ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-428-4), Xulon author Linda E. Clementson reveals how God let down His fishing pole full of love, forgiveness, and grace--and touched her life.

"My book is written to help women understand that no matter what kind of lifestyle they have lived or are living now, it is never too late to reach out to God with a sincere heart, and He is always there to love and forgive you and change you," the author says. "The relevance of this book is very important today because of the 'throwaway society' we live in. Since I lived that kind of lifestyle, I believe that others will be able to relate to my story."

Not long after becoming a Christian in 1986, Clementson says the Lord began to open a door of ministry for her to tell her story to many women's groups. She has seen firsthand many women come to faith in Christ. It is her hope that, through this book, she can bring this timely message to even more women from all walks of life.
