LONGWOOD, FL--Within the pages of Treasures from the Heart ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-492-5), a new book from Xulon Press, author Henry Lewis Keys, Jr., has written a touching compilation of writings that will inspire, uplift, and passionately share the love of God with readers. Written straight from the heart, these poems will resonate with readers from all walks of life. It is the author's hope and desire that readers will feel the passion in each poem and know that they were written with them in mind. This book bears testament to the fact that the strength of God allowed the author to move forward with his life despite many obstacles.

"I pray that the readers will be inspired by the passionate words in each poem," the author says. "I hope they can cry laugh and even meditate on some of the words written in this book."

While Henry Lewis Keys, Jr., concedes to not being an expert in the field of poetry, he does have more than thirty years of experience writing poems and magazine articles, as well as composing and performing spoken word poetry before live audiences. This book was written over the course of thirty years, a span of time that brought with it many trials, tribulations, and tears for the author. Late in 1982, he was diagnosed with lupus, which was a terrible blow to his future plans. But the merciful love of God and help from family and friends helped him to continue to make strides forward and blessed him to write this inspiring book. "By the grace of God, He has allowed me to complete the work He started in me," he explains.
